My Background
After several years as a Designated Crisis Responder, seeing clients in the Emergency Room and helping them work through their crisis I saw first-hand how the lack of support and inability to find the “right” therapist negatively impacted so many individuals. One of my goals is to dig deeper than just managing the crisis. Through counseling I will help you move past the trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, or relationship problem. You can count on me to help you manage your situation getting to the cause of the problem.
I am passionate about helping people work through difficult experiences so that they can ultimately live a happier and more peaceful life with optimum mental health. I believe that doing deeper work with individuals and in small groups can lead to more effective and long-term change.
Helping people work through their personal problems and mental health crisis is a passion of mine. As a therapist, I have helped clients recover from anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma. I work with couples to move through relationship issues including issues with trust, infidelity and addiction. My therapeutic approach is creative and eclectic. I tailor my approach to meet your needs. Being certified in many different therapeutic approaches allows me to pull from my extensive knowledge base focusing on your needs, your strengths, and your strongest senses to develop a solution which helps you achieve your goals.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband.
My Approach & Philosophy
Life Surprises Us All. One day everything’s fine, the next day you need some support and stability. My role as your therapist is to help you remember that you’ve got this. By creating a partnership with you, I will help you remember your strengths, explore your options and find a better result quicker and more effectively than if you go at it alone. I want to help you manage your situation and with a fresh perspective. I’m skilled at seeing solutions where others often see only problems. Through the therapeutic process I will help you to we find unexpected gifts in the situation.
I specialize in working with adults who are struggling to find balance and peace of mind in their often chaotic lives. I’m passionate about working with clients who have a history of trauma and are looking for ways to cope and move forward. I work with clients who are struggling with the physical symptoms associated with anxiety, depression and chronic stress.
My approach to therapy is integrative, strengths-based, and tailored to fit the specific goals and needs of my clients. I aim to create a safe space for clients to share their concerns, thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
